Erich von Däniken 14th April 1935 – 10th January 2026 

Erich von Däniken a Swiss author and a true pioneer, he dared to explore ideas that most scholars wouldn’t touch — ancient astronauts, lost knowledge, and extraterrestrial influences in early human civilisation. A life devoted to curiosity, courage, and the pursuit of the extraordinary.

Personally, he stood out as a bold thinker who challenged conventional boundaries and I trust invited millions to look at human history with fresh curiosity. His willingness to ask daring questions sparked entire fields of alternative research, inspiring people like me to explore mysteries others may overlooked. His work didn’t just propose ideas; it ignited my imagination, encouraged me to go deeper in my research, thus opened doors to new possibilities.

I trust his legacy will live on in every mind he encouraged to look upward and wonder, explore, investigate and look beyond the familiar.

I discovered Erich von Däniken in my late teens, at the moment when my curiosity began to shape identity. His ideas reshaped how I viewed ancient history. I personally found that his work didn’t just challenge accepted narratives; it opened entirely new pathways of my thoughts. I’m deeply indebted to him, because his bold questions sparked the research journey that continues to guide me today. 

I remain deeply grateful for the spark his work lit in me - a spark that grew into my own research and lifelong fascination with humanity’s origins which carries that same spirit of inquiry, a testament to the influence he’s had on my journey.
